LOAN BOXES
We have a range of loan boxes that contain a variety of artefacts and replica items designed for use by schools or as part of reminiscence sessions with older people.
The following boxes are available for hire:
- Stone Age to Iron Age
- Dinosaurs and fossils
- World War II (3 boxes: Evacuees, Blitz and Shelter)
- Victorian toys
- Victorian school
- Toys our parents played with (1970s/80s)
- Toys our grandparents played with (1950s/60s)
- Bygone kitchen items
- It’s Party Time
- Children’s books from the past
- Romans in Britain
In addition we have a collection of replica Victorian garments which the children are welcome to try on and enjoy.
And 3 poster collections covering World War II, Post-war Britain, and the Royal Family 1930s-50s.

All items can be handled / played with / worn but everything must be returned in the same condition as it was when collected.
Please note that Cuckfield Museum accepts no liability for any loss, injury or damage howsoever caused by loan boxes or their contents once they are removed from the Museum premises.
Fees and contact details:
