IN LINE WITH GOVERNMENT ADVICE, WE HAVE RELUCTANTLYTAKEN THE DECISION
TO CLOSE THE MUSEUM FOR THE FORESEEABLE FUTURE.
Please note that the Museum will be closed for its winter break on 14th December at 3pm and will reopen on 15th February at 10am.
Usual Opening Hours:
Wednesday, Thursday and Friday: 10am – 12.30pm
Saturday: 10am – 3pm,
or by appointment.
The Museum is closed on Bank Holidays, save on Monday 6th May, when it will be open between 12 noon and 3pm.
Admission is free, but as the museum is an independent charity run by volunteers, donations are welcome. A small shop offers books and souvenirs for sale.
There is free parking behind the Queen’s Hall, and a large paying (£1 disc) car park, with toilets, on Broad Street.
There is disabled access to the museum (lift/ramp) and toilets.
The museum welcomes visualy impaired visitors and, if you can give us notice of your visit or make an appointment, we will ensure that members of the Curatorial Team are on hand to take artifacts out of cases and storage for handling.
