‘EAT, DRINK AND BE MERRY!’

Celebrating Cuckfield’s Long Tradition of Hospitality

new display celebrates Cuckfield’s long tradition of hospitality including a lavish welcome home dinner for soldiers returned from the First World War; a restaurant popular with billeted Canadian troops during the Second World War; coaching inns and a 1930s tearoom.

We are also showing some of the oldest objects from our reserve collection which reflect the variety of material used for eating and drinking before china became widely available.

If you are interested in this or any other Cuckfield topics, why not visit us in the museum.
